Prin Manhattan

Plecam de la hotel, care se afla in partea de vest a Manhattan-ului, pe 97th Str drept inainte pana dam de Central Park cu o oprire scurta la Whole Food Market (care este la intersectia cu Columbus Ave). Iesim in partea de est si ne indreptam spre Guggenheim Museum - una din cele mai mari realizari arhitectonice din sec 20. De aici ne indreptam spre Metropolitan Museum of Art si tot mergem pe langa parc pana iesim pe 5th Avenue unde prima cladire care ne va capta atentia este Trump Tower. Apoi ne indreptam spre St.Patrick’s Cathedral.
Iesim de pe 5th Avenue si ne indreptam spre Rockefeller Center - Top of the Rock pe W 49th Str. Aici facem o oprire mai lunga pentru ca trebuie sa “fim la inaltime”, iar cu 29$/pers reusim.

Mergem mai departe tot pe 5th Avenue spre Chrysler Building si Grand Central Station, sunt una langa alta. De aici ne indreptam spre Empire State Building (main deck, etajul 86, 26$).

Bryant Park si The New York Public Library sunt in drumul nostru spre Time Square.
Din Time Square ne indreptam spre Broadway Theatre si la final Studio 54.

Bilete pentru spectacolele de pe Broadway pot fi cumparate de pe siteul.

Financial District and Staten Island

Plecam de la hotel spre cea mai apropiata statie de metrou, in cazul nostru 96St (linia rosie spre South Ferry) si ne indreptam spre sudul Manhattan-ului unde vom cobori la statia Chambers St. Ne indreptam spre Goldman Sachs, 9/11 Memorial and Museum, Trinity Church, Wall Street, Charging Bull. Si toate astea in drum spre ferry, terminanul Whitehall.

Ferry-ul face legatura intre St George de pe Staten Island cu Whitehall din Manhattan, 5 mile, 25 de minute, o priveliste superba asupra New York Harbor si nu in ultimul rand e gratis.
Dupa ora 9:30AM ferry-urile circula din jumatate in jumatate de ora.

Un tur propus de TimeOut in Staten Island aici

Dupa o scurta plimbare pe insula revenim in Manhattan si ne indreptam spre Brooklyn Bridge, in jumatate de ora ajungem la pod, iar dupa inca jumatate de ora suntem in Brooklyn.
Daca mai putem ne intoarcem in Chinatown si-l luam la pas.

Ferry-ul pleaca din Battery Park.
