When I decided to visit America the first thing that cross my mind
was “should I stay only on east side and come again to visit the west
side or combine it and get the best of both”? And so I did ..
I arrived in New York City in a Friday by myself, I explore the shops
in the first night as a single gal in the big city. The second day I
took a long walk in Greenwich Village and Noho. Then I met my friends in
the west upper town. We explored together the city for 3 days, doing
the main stuff: Central Park, cruise to miss Liberty, walk on 5th,
Financial district, seen Time Square by day and by night, walk on top of
the world on Empire State Building.

On a Tuesday we took an America Airline plane to Las Vegas, so in 6
hours we were on the other side of America. That day we didn’t had so
much time to explore the city so we just rest for what was about to
come.
Wednesday morning, we got up and pick up our car from Avis, at
the airport. We had the pleasant surprise to find out that our Chrysler
300 left us for another customer so we end up with a SUV Lincoln that
change my way of thinking about cars, all I can say is that I want one.
With our brand new car made in 2014, with only 14000 km on board we
start exploring Arizona. We took the Route 66 to the Grand Canyon
Village. Nothing much to see on this route but is historical and worth
seeing. We stop for the first night in the Valle, where we find out that
some people are going to bed at 8PM, so did we … In the morning we hit
the road again and in about 40 km we were in paradise, Grand Canyon
Village, the place to be, the perfect location for clearing our minds,
where you can meditate in peace. A lot of things to do here, exploring
the Canyon by foot is the best way.

After our peaceful days we got back in Vegas for the Rock’n Roll
marathon weekend. So from Friday till Sunday we explore the city best
casinos and the main attraction.

Good to go again, a ride of 400 km and we were in Hollywood, where
there is not much to do if nobody receives a star on walk of fame.
Fortunately somebody did received a star that day so I spent an hour
stalking him).

After cruising around Beverly Hills we got to Malibu for a short walk
and then in Santa Barbara which is definitely the place to be in the
summer, but I was in November so with my boots and my t-shirt I visited
the beach and enjoyed the sun that I didn’t saw for over a month in my
country.
From here we took the highway one to Monterey, beautiful, with such
amazing views, wildlife in some spots, such different relief, the ocean
that was in our left almost our entire trip, with rocks and forests in
our right, gorgeous, I need to do that again, even with all the fog that
we had for about 50 km.
And then we arrived in Monterey, even with the rain we got to see the fisherman craft.
Next day, San Francisco, where we said sadly goodbye to our new BF, the Red Lincoln, and where we cool for about 5 days.
Beautiful city, I can see myself living there. The Victorian
architecture we liked the best, we explored the city by foot and in
about 75 km we did it.
And let me just say that on Pier 33 I felt like in my summer vacation.
Monday again in the plane with America Airlines, this time going to
Washington DC for 2 days, this city is nothing like I expected, is
clean, not so noisy, not so crowded, with a lot of interesting museums,
definitely 2 days are not enough.
Black Friday starts Wednesday so it’s time to go back to New York
City. So here I am in the bus this time looking for the Thanksgiving
parade from tomorrow morning and the insane that is going to be with all
this Black Friday thing.
